BFCA Offers Course for Homeowners and Property Managers - Monsters in the Basement© Coming Soon

Hoffman Estates, IL — The Building & Fire Code Academy is creating a list of interest for their Monsters in the Basement© class which will be held at the Academy, 2401 W. Hassell Road, Ste. 1550, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. A class date has not been determined. The fee is $90 for each of the two hour classes.

One class will focus on the mechanical (heating) and plumbing systems used in residential applications. The other class will discuss the building's sub-soil drainage and radon systems and the different electrical systems found in a single family home.

The Building & Fire Code Academy is an Illinois State Board of Education approved private business and vocational school. Offering continuing education classes and complete career programs for inspectors, code officials, and design professionals, BFCA is an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider and an American Institute of Architects/Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) registered provider. Students completing courses receive 0.2 continuing education units, contact hours and/or state credit where applicable. Architects completing classes earn 2 learning units. All courses qualify for health, safety and welfare credit.
