Basic Blueprint Reading Class Scheduled for Davenport, Iowa in September
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL The Building & Fire Code Academy is offering a new one-day seminar on Understanding Basic Blueprint Reading©. Individuals will develop an understanding of basic blueprint reading through hands-on practice with read blueprints. The class will be offered 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
September 18, 2008 and has been scheduled for the Davenport, Iowa area.
Participants will learn to identify the various parts of a blueprint, including different types of symbols, abbreviations, drawings, and views. Students will be taught to move through multiple blueprint sheets to properly locate information.
At the end of the class, participants will be able to differentiate between a plat of survey, a residential print, and a commercial plan. An introduction and review of your state's signature and seal requirements will be provided.
Cost is $180. Deadline for enrollment is September 4, 2008.
The Building & Fire Code Academy is an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider and an American Institute of Architects/Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) registered provider. Students completing courses receive .6 continuing education units, contact hours and/or state credit where applicable. Architects completing classes earn six learning units. All courses qualify for health, safety and welfare credit.
